RECALL: Excedrin, Bufferin, Gas-X, and NoDoz
There has been a recall on the these medications from Novartis. This is taken from their website:

Novartis Consumer Health (NCH) is voluntarily recalling all lots of select bottle sizes of Excedrin® and NoDoz® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier as well as Bufferin® and Gas-X® Prevention® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier, in the United States.
NCH is taking this action as a precautionary measure, because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules, or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped tablets.

Proud Mama Monday 1/9/12
Jacob has learned how to spell Rio {a movie he loves watching}. Not only that, but if you show him the word {written, with no giveaway pictures by it} and ask him what it says, he will tell you it says Rio. MY BABY CAN READ!!! Lol. He's too smart for his own good!

Mother of the Year
The new year has just begun but I'm already well on my way to securing my spot as Mother of the Year this year.
Last night I fed my children bad meat pasta sauce. Jacob had downed a bit of it before Matt realized it was bad. Jordan, however, didn't eat much of it.
As Matt was reading Jake's bedtime stories to him, he suddenly said "I forgot to go potty" so off he went. He came back and then about a minute later said "I forgot to throw up" and went back into the bathroom. At first I was thinking WTF kid. He didn't throw up but we got out his "white bowl" just in case. Sure enough, come midnight it hit him. And he was throwing up ALL. NIGHT. LONG.
So yeah.... I food poisoned my kid. Six days into the new year and I'm already the Mother of the Year.

Breastfeeding Goals in the New Year
I am writing this post as part of the Breastfeeding Blog Hop. This week's topic is: Breastfeeding Goals in the New Year. Feel free to share your goals below or link up in the hop.
My breastfeeding goals for the new year are.... well.... I don't really have any. When I first started nursing Jordan I knew I wanted to nurse him for a year and beyond. For some reason, 15 months sounded good to be and I set that out as my breastfeeding goal. On December 30, 2011 that goal was met. Now, it's just sort of up in the air.
I have started the process of weaning him. What I mean by that is that I have introduced him to cow's milk. However, I still plan to nurse him as well until he shows a readiness to be done. With Jake, it was easy - I had to quit due to the damage he was doing to me -- which my doctor said was on the verge of being permanent! I weaned him cold-turkey! And he was so used to taking milk from a bottle anyway that he didn't seem to mind -- or even notice -- the difference.
Jordan, however, is a totally different baby. So until it becomes more than I can take, I will continue to nurse him until he is ready to be done.
