Jordan Matthew: 25 Months Old

Last week (10.30) Jordan turned 25 months old. Here's a quick peek at who he is at this age. 

Weight: 22-23 lbs, depending on the day

Height: I did not measure him

Size: 18 month, 24 month, some 2T

Favorite Food: cheese sticks

Words: EVERYTHING!! I can't think of anything new though. He talks in full sentences and even uses proper grammar sometimes ("I do it" instead of "Me do it" for example) He is funny and when we say "I love you" to him he says "Love me" 

New Accomplishments: He can count to four, He says "ABC Now sing with me" so cute!!, He knows basically all the colors, he's been good about going pee on his potty and now says he's going pee (he used to call pee poop and poop pee) but he's still using his diapers to poop - he will mostly tell us when he goes now though because he wants to be changed right away, we are working on weaning him from his pacifier

Random Facts:

• He has been having "temper tantrums" lately. Boo. 
• He loves to swing and likes to "go real real high"
• He copies EVERYTHING his brother does and says. He does EVERYTHING Jake tells him to do as well. 
• He responds pretty well to 1-2-3 discipline but he will not budge until you get to 2. He will let you know if he is unhappy as well. 

Silly Saturday 9/8/12

Jake: "Mom, are you an adult?"
Me: "Yes"
Jake: "Okay, listen to this" (pushes ipad, it says ask an adult for this book)
Jake: "UGH! This is destroying me!!!"


Me: (going through animal sounds with Jordan) "And what does Charlie say?"
Jordan: "please"

Silly Saturday 7/7/12

Matt: "Do you EVER listen?"

Jordan: "No"

Jacob {to a complete stranger}: "Touch my brother. Feel how soft he is!"

Watching fireworks... Jacob: "That was CRAZY!!!"

Silly Saturday 6/9/12

Jacob likes to point out mannequins at the mall. "That one doesn't have a head" or "that one doesn't have feet" Things like that...
Walking past Aerie at the mall... Jacob: "That one doesn't have a head. But look! It has those things you have. Boobs. It has boobs!"

I took the boys to the duck pond to feed the ducks. Jordan ran around chasing them yelling "Quack! Quack!"

Silly Saturday

I'm going to start implementing a new "themed" post on Saturdays called "Silly Saturday." My kids say and do funny things all the time and I need to start documenting it. So any week that I have something funny from them, I will post it in here.

Last Sunday when we went grocery shopping we brought Jordan along. We were walking through the produce section and as we passed the tomatoes Jordan excitedly exclaimed "BALL!!!"


Jacob was eating breakfast at the table. I was nursing Jordan on the couch. For those who don't know my house, the kitchen table is right behind the couch.
Jacob: "Fee Fi Fo Fummy. I smell a Mommy and she smells good. I will eat you. But I won't eat you because you are sitting on the couch."

Jacob calls the book "Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day" "Eric Carle and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day"
