Jake's First Day of Preschool 2013

Teacher: Mrs. Smith. The helpers in his room are his teachers from last year, Mrs. D. and Mrs. DeKlyne. 

What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up: doctor, farmer, and marching band and I’m going to play a trumpet. No, I’m going to play a drum. A drum with a minion on it.

What is Your Favorite Toy:  my train track that is at Minnie’s house

Who is Your Best Friend:  Brianna

What Do You Think School is Going To Be Like: Being at home sleeping with you. Play legos, play with the firestation, and play with the train track. I think I’m going to learn about writing.  

What Do You Think Your Teacher is Going To Be Like: Nice. She’s going to be like Santa. She’s going to give me presents like Santa. 

Three Year Old Preschool

Jacob finished his first year of preschool on May 23rd. His last day was a field trip to Playworld where he had a blast. Parents and siblings were allowed to go so we all went.

What was the best thing about preschool: playing on the playground

What Was Preschool Like: Playing at Grandma’s and playing at Lolo’s and Papa’s. It was fun. I learned lots.

What Was Your Teacher Like: She is like Lolo because she helped me learn. She was nice and smart.

What Was Your Favorite Thing About Mrs. D: When she says I can play.

School Carnival

On Friday we got to take the boys to Jake's school's carnival. They had a couple of inflatable bounce houses and slides as well as the usual carnival games. The boys were more interested in the bounce houses than the games, we had to practically force them to play the games too. They earned tokens that they got to redeem for prizes. Jordan picked out -- no surprise there -- 3 bouncy balls. Jake picked out a whole slew of cheap McDonald's toys -- a Spiderman ring, a Captain America figurine, a Sheer Khan toy, a parachute guy, I can't remember what else. Matt and I also won the raffles for left over cake walk goodies so I brought home a plate of chocolate cupcakes and Matt brought home a plate of cookies. Griff, the Griffins mascot, was there. Jordan was terrified of him -- he kept shaking and hanging on to me for dear life. And whenever we'd go down a new area he'd stop and say "Where is the big duck?" Overall though, I think the boys had a fun time. 

First Day of Preschool

Jacob had his first day of preschool today. He is lips sealed about the whole thing but his teacher said he did well and wasn't too shy. He did tell me that the big issue of the day was he wanted to sit in a blue chair but he had to sit in a red chair instead. Oh, to have the problems of a three year old!! He also told me he'd like to go back to school on Thursday, so he must have enjoyed himself.
