Jordan is now seven months old (as of 04.30.11) and what a month it has been! A lot has happened since my last post on him. Jordan is now 17.6 lbs and 26 inches long. His head circumference is 44 cm. He is mostly wearing 6 month clothes but also wears some 9 month and some 12 month. There are very few 3-6 month outfits that still fit on him, especially with a big bulky cloth diaper underneath.
Jordan continues to sleep mostly in his crib in our bedroom. He prefers to sleep on his belly or his side, usually the left. He still occasionally spends the night in our bed as well. Most nights he wakes 1-2 times to nurse. Sometimes he does sleep through the night but not too often.
Jordan is still 100% breastfed but we have also introduced him to some solid foods as well. He continues to nurse every 2-6 hours and "eats" just for fun when we have our meals. He has tried lots of different foods, including: banana, carrot, apple, sweet potato, broccoli, strawberry, spinach, cantaloupe, Happy Baby greens puffs, hamburger, tomato, minestrone soup, hummus, four cheese pasta florentine, cucumber, applesauce, orange, fig newton, cheesestick, oatmeal, peach mango applesauce, and water. He has liked pretty much everything when he's in the mood for food.
Shortly after he turned six months old, Jordan became very sick. He has having trouble breathing and had to go in for a nebulizer treatment. We also had to give him an inhaler at home for awhile until his breathing improved. Poor little peanut! He hated that thing!
This month Jordan learned how to sit up all by himself. He cannot put himself into the sitting position but he can keep himself in that position for a very long time. He is also very close to learning how to crawl. He desperately wants to but just hasn't yet. It won't be long before he's army crawling all over the place, I'm afraid.
Jordan met his Uncle Bill (well, MY Uncle Bill) for the first time this month. He also got to visit with Auntie Sarah and Grammy again. He went on the swings at the park for the first time. And we celebrated his first Easter. I will write about Easter in more detail in another post.
Here are some pictures of Jordan from this past month:
