Jordan: 18 months

Yes, you read that right.  Friday (03.30.12) Jordan turned 18 months old {aka: one and a half} Unbelievable!

he would NOT give up the paci and block for the picture

He weighs 23 lbs and is 31 inches long. He has eight teeth and four more wanting to pop through.

Jordan is really a pretty fun and interesting kid. He likes climbing on anything he can find and he thinks he's really funny when he climbs up on the chair in his bedroom. He loves to eat and, even more-so, loves to nurse. He likes to play with blocks, balls, cars and trucks, and anything his brother is playing with. He likes to stack things. He loves books, especially first word books. He can point to lots of the pictures if you ask him what something is. He can even find something on a different page in the book. He still doesn't say many words, though. He repeats a lot of what we say but he mostly just says "milk" (mah) "eat" and "bye-bye" (buba) or "da" for everything else. He shakes his head yes and no. He doesn't like to have his diaper changed and makes it very difficult for us by flipping all around. He is easily distracted. He enjoys going to the library for story time and he enjoys being chased and playing peek-a-boo. He loves showers and bathes but he doesn't like to get dried off afterwards. He likes to run around naked. He tries really hard to jump but can't quite get both feet off the ground.

He can point to a lot of his body parts (nose, eyes, ears, mouth, hair, head, hands, fingers, feet, belly, chest... still working on arms and legs) He likes to point to his nose and then point to mine and say "nose" (no) He can repeat a lot of animal sounds but doesn't say them on his own when asked. He runs well. He hates being in his carseat. He likes his toothbrush but he doesn't like to have his teeth brushed. He likes music and dancing. He likes to clap his hands when he does something he's proud of and he likes to say "uh oh" when he drops something.

He sleeps through the night almost every night. He sleeps with his block and pacifier. He moves around a lot in his sleep -- he's in a different position every time I peek in on him. He takes one nap a day and usually sleeps for 2-3 hours at a time.

His favorite foods are fruit (any and all kinds), cereal, cheese sticks, hamburgers, olives, pickles, and yogurt. He drinks milk, water, and juice and likes them all.

He is a fiery little boy who knows what he wants and wants to make sure everyone else knows it as well and throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way. He is also a huge lover who likes to have a smile on his face. His personality is definitely developing but I don't think I've quite figured him out yet. I'm not sure he has either. I can't wait to see who he becomes as the years continue to pass.

oatmeal is messy

he loves apples. here's his new haircut from mom.

I forgot to mention that he's a daredevil AND accident prone so he gets hurt a lot. Here is the big bump on his head that he sported for awhile after walking into his brother's swing at the park.

sleeping soundly

Jordan loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Here he is devouring one.

He got himself stuck on our bed

  1. Emily, I love these pictures. Super cute. C gets himself stuck in my bed on purpose just like that, only at the foot of the bed.
